Self-representation is a growing trend in the justice system, one requiring lawyers to interact with opposing parties that are not fully aware of the rules of court. Being able to interact with the self-represented litigant is a new skill that today’s lawyer will benefit from. Join us for a presentation that will provide some useful insight from the Bench on how best to work with the self-represented litigant.

Prior to being appointed to the Bench, Justice Kenneth Ball practiced for 25 years as a litigator and a partner at DuMoulin Black in Vancouver. Justice Ball has ten years of experience as a Provincial Court Judge in Surrey, one of the busiest courtrooms in the province, and was appointed to the British Columbia Supreme Court in 2012.
