Students of Associate Dean Heshka‘s sports law class met for an hour-and-a-half last week with Vancouver Canucks Vice President and General Counsel Chris Gear at Rogers Arena. Mr. Gear talked about his background in law which includes five years as Senior Legal Counsel with the Vancouver 2010 Olympics and his current work including hockey operations, the NHL’s CBA, salary arbitration, sponsorship and myriad other matters. After the meeting, the class went to a Canucks game against the Philadelphia Flyers.
